Dear Residents,

As per DPW, Veolia Water has informed us that this morning's water main break was located near the intersection of Sylvan Ave./Rt. 9W. The actual break is off the roadway; it consists of a 12-inch size pipe and is being accessed right now.

Veolia is in the process of shutting off the service as we speak. Veolia will immediately notify all 16 properties that are being affected.

NOTE:

• Goddard School located on Charlotte place IS IN FACT one of the 16 properties affected.
• Upper School - IS NOT one of the properties affected. 

Veolia estimates that service will be out for the remainder of the today and is anticipated to be restored between 8PM and 11PM tonight.

As Veolia mobilizes, Charlotte Place, between Sylvan Ave. and Rose Ave. will be hard closed for the duration of the repair.

There may be contractor vehicle traffic in and around the area, however nothing additional should impede the local traffic pattern. As of now, Veolia has informed us of no such need as a boil water advisory. 

As we move forward, the Borough will be in contact with Veolia throughout the day and will provide updates as necessary.
